I've always had a deep interest and passion for working alongside people. I grew up planning to either be a nurse or a midwife as I enjoyed looking after people and being able to help within a caring capacity. However, fast forward a few years it was yoga that was going to be my life's passion and work. This of course allowed me to be meet wonderful people from all walks of life, which is such a privilege. I was also able to utilise my teaching style to develop ways for people to care and look after themselves.

As part of my recent personal development I have been looking at ways to incorporate and study the more feminine softer approaches of yoga into my practice, after training with Uma Dinsmore Tuli in November 2017 (click here to read about that training - it was amazing!!). I had also had a deep urge to learn how to teach pregnancy yoga.

I began to start to research various courses and I kept coming back to Sally Parkes Yoga online. Sally runs various retreats and teacher training courses across the UK and overseas (click here for her website). I was delighted to see that she was running an 85 hour pregnancy yoga teacher training course and it was in West Sussex - it was meant to be.... and do you know what, it really was.

I always feel a little nervous starting a new training course, thinking "what is it going to be like?", "will I enjoy it?" etc, but from day one on the course I was loving it. It was fun, informative, eyeopening and inspiring.

The course covered functional, appropriate and mindful yoga for pregnancy and beyond. Including yoga for the postnatal period and the addition of mother and baby yoga.

And I felt really at home learning, teaching and exploring these practices of yoga and I left the course feeling confident and excited to share these practices that support, nourish and empower women.

So...if you are pregnant or know someone who is, I would be delighted to share these teachings with you.

Please head over to my website here for further information - weekly class starting from April 2018!
